RECAP: Vancouver & District Regional Championship (2025)

We have made it!

V&D’s Regional swim meet marks the end of the summer swimming season for those who are not attending Provincials. I, as well as all of the coaches, are so proud of the dedication and hard work every swimmer showed in their training and competitions throughout the season. Also, a huge congratulations to everyone that made it on the podium! I noticed that the Super Sharks dominated the podium this year, whether that was in a “B” or “A” final. This truly shows that all of the effort we put into our training has paid off tremendously. Keep up the amazing work, Super Sharks! Hopefully we will see everyone back during the upcoming winter season! For those who did not make it to the Provincials this year, please keep working hard and next year there will be another chance to show off how much you have grown!

This year, 31 swimmers including our coaches qualified for the Provincial Championships in Prince George! That is about half of the club! Outstanding! This result demonstrates how much effort everybody poured into their training, strokes, and races. Even through the highs and lows, every single swimmer was able to keep on pushing forward to attain this great achievement.

Congratulations to all of the swimmers who qualified for the Provincials!

A special thanks to all of the parents who volunteer so much of their time to help with officiating, timing, or even with driving the swimmers to practices every day. We would not be able to swim and compete without your help. Moreover, your constant support to the swimmers and the club have truly shaped an amazing community that makes everyone feel safe and included. Thank you to all of the parents for such an amazing season!

Lastly, the 2025 Regional swim meet also marks the end of Coach Avery and Emily’s swimming career. Avery and Emily are one of a kind, and their presence in the pool and on the pool deck will definitely be missed. The club will never be the same without you two.
